Hello. I have the actiontec MI424WR rev. I

I live in a 2 level home. Due to the location of our coax cables, the router in located in the upper level of the in the farthest right room of the house. I am having issues with a weak signal in the lower level farthest left room. We have virtually no signal in that room. We have the 75/35 Quantum internet. Moving the router in out of the question due to where my coax cable is located.

I tried all the router channels with no increase to the wireless signal in the lower level rooms.

To attempt to extend my wireless signal, I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0034CQSKW/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It did nothing.

I also bought this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E98O7GC/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This didnt work either. It wouldnt let any devices connect to the internet while in use.

I read that there are repeaters, range extenders and other routers that COULD work.

If anyone has any devices that I could buy to increase my wireless signal, please let me know.

Also, if you have any intructions that I could follow to increase my wireless signal, that would be helpful.

I am considering buying this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005UBNGY6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Should I get the range extender listed above, buy a different one or do something else to increase my wifi signal?
