I just want to pass on how Verizon now treats customers. To shorten a long story, I had contacted Verizon Customer Service due to an increase in my bill. It turned out that a discount had expired. After some discussion I found that a new promotional discount was available and I followed the instructions. When I received my e-mail confirmation I noticed that the cost of my set top DVR boxes had changed. No reason, just went up in price. I had to make several calls and was told: " the computer just does these things, oh, the price of the boxes has gone up, I just don't know why this changed, the group price you had for the boxes is no longer available, when you changed your service or renew your contact your grandfathered price changed ". The bottom line, I did not make any changes and no one could tell me why my rental fees increased based on a phone call. Then the unbelievable..... when I asked for a Supervisor I was put on hold but could still hear them talking about me....the voice said, " just be careful, your being monitored and I don't care about him ". When I spoke back stating that I just heard that, the phone went silent. Then a person came back on the line stating they were a Supervisor. Still no answer to the question and I was told this would be sent to the "ROCK" team for evaluation and someone would get back to me. As we all know that means I was passed on and will never hear anything. As a customer, could not have been more insulted. Been a phone customer over 20 years, Verizon has my cell service and I have had FIOS since the day it was released in my community. What a shame a company like Verizon has fallen to such a low place.
