I've been having issues with my FIOS TV freezing, and they eventually replaced the DVR (VMS1100), but that didn't seem to resolve the issue. I have a customer provided router, the MI424WR Rev. I and I wanted to rule that out as the culprit so I borrowed a G1100 from someone and have been running it a few days. It did seem to make the DVR freeze less often, but I feel that may have been a result of the ONT being restarted.
The MI424WR Rev. I had lots and lots of entries per day with "LAN Coax Link Down" and "LAN Coax Link Up" which I assume was the router losing connection from the ONT.
The G1100 doesn't seem to have the same entry, but the entries in the screenshot below instead which happen just as often. Does this mean the same thing, that the connection is dropping (not just to the router but to the DVR too which apparently it can't handle)?
