Installation nightmare

We have been anxiously awaiting FIOS in our area and placed our order a few weeks ago. Last week a Verizon sub-contractor came out to run the cable from the Verizon box in our front yard to our house. Apparently they decided to install it a different way to avoid having to run the cable under our driveway. They ran the cable from a box that was further away and dug in an area that Miss Utility did not mark. In the process they cut our Comcast cable and nicked one of the main electrical feeds that comes into our house. So we have had no TV, internet and spotty power since last Thursday. We called Verizon and they told us to call Comcast. Comcast was a no show. I assume they are not coming because we are switching to FIOS. Meanwhile, the electric company came out and said that they will have to bring out their own ground crew to dig up from our meter until they find the damaged area. We are afraid to leave the house unattended because we heard buzzing sounds from the meter when we turned our main breaker off. So, with having to take off work and all the inconvenience, the customer service rep my wife spoke to said that we should expect a $45 credit to our account! Seriously? I'm not one to complain but Verizon will have to do something about this to make this right and these contractors should be supervised by someone that knows what they are doing. Someone could have been killed in my front yard and now this mess is costing me much more than $45 and our yard and my neighbors yard are about to be torn up by a backhoe...
