One fios router and one third party router in the same household?

Hi there, recently I have noticed that my internet downstairs wasnt reaching upstairs so I wanted to add a second router. I was thinking of ordering an actiontec MoCA to LAN converter and a netgear router. Will the 2 routers conflict on my fios or is this in any way a bad idea?
