Screwed on renewal pricing?

I spoke with a customer service rep via chat and they told me that they would waive the DVR per month cost in addition to the $20 per month savings. When I got the email confirmation of the order, it's showing that the DVR pricing is in there. Essentially I will be paying $20 less per month than if I hadn't bothered to get a contract. In fact I am paying $10 more per month than my last contract? 

 

How is this even a deal?????????????????

 

I could easily have switched over to Cablevision as they were willing to match my current Verizon FIOS contract. 

 

I don't get the renewal being sold as a benefit when I essentially am screwed out of my prior pricing per month and now I am stuck paying $19.99 for a DVR cost that I was told would be waived. 

 

I tried calling customer service, but as usual after waiting for half an hour, I get a rep who spoke as if they have marbles in their mouth, and I could not understand a word out of their mouth.
