Terrible service

I am posting this to complain about the terrible service I have had over the year that I have had Verizon Fios. I have the 75/75 internet and with the router provided I only get 24/18. I get a third of what I pay for which is not cheap. Fios is supposed to be the fastest internet and now it seems that Time Warner Cable is catching up. I Only ever kept Verizon because I traveled a lot being in the military and they have a very wide range of cell phone service. I then tried Fios and through failed advertising I lost out on a deal for free HBO in my house. I was charged $40 at first for swapping services between myself and my brother who we both own the house. We only did this for the discount I get working at the hospital. The reason for the $40 charge was because I called a service provider instead of doing everything over the internet. I would have done everything over the internet if Verizon and the so called "Outstanding Internet" service would have made it simple to do so. Now I am still somewhat thinking of keeping verizon because I found out through multiple sources that I can acquire an actual router that is worth the money. Unfortunately in order to get a router that is high quality to go with the verizon "high quality" internet I have to search through the internet to find a way to install the router to it's maximum potential. Lucky for me there are multiple other people who got fed up with Verizon's faulty internet. They also got about the same download and upload as myself. I called and spoke with a Verizon "customer service" representative and to my best judgement he wasted my time and almost made me late for work. I am at work as I type this on a break and when I return to my house I will be attempting to install the new router hopefully with success. If it comes to no success I will be looking into Time Warner Cable who seem to provide the same services at 50% the cost and the only downside being there is no fiber optic internet.
My suggestion to you Verizon is to start fixing these problems beforehand. I shouldn't be paying you for 75/75 internet and getting a third of that. I also should not be thrown through loops and have issues logging in to my account. As it is I had to use the old account to send this message. You may contact me through my personal email you have on file. And I would reccommend giving me an intelligent individual who knows the value of time because I sure do.
