Autopay enrolled after bill was received but before due date, will autopay pay that bill?

I received my first bill in the mail, and I enrolled in AutoPay.  It shows that I successfully enrolled in AutoPay, but I'm curious to know if it will pay my first bill because I enrolled in it after the bill was issued.  THe bill is due on October 2nd and it is now 9/24 and it shows that my Auto Pay is active.
