SCAM--Watch your bill

Need to let everyone now about the SCAM this company is pulling.  I had a $74.99 monthly plan.  After I purchased a router so I didn't have to pay the rental fee my bill suddenly jumped to $84.99. CS said that I agreed to that and I should have read the confirmation email they sent. NOBODY mentioned my bill going UP $10 for purchasing a modem.  They refused to change it and said it's my mistake for not reading the email. Why would my bill go up you ask?? They upped it $10 so they still get there rental fee, it just doesn't say it on the bill now.  This company is super terrible.  As soon as I can get an ISP over to the house this clown company is done. WATCH YOUR BILL PEOPLE. They also wouldn't give me a reason why they upped the bill.  Completely dodged the question about ten times.  VERY SHIESTY COMPANY.


Verizon IP address blacklisted

I have a problem sending email through Fios Internet.
It is NOT about email account with Verizon or AOL but our own domain mail sending via Fios.

Some of our mail are rejected by recipients due to MTA’s poor reputation. We checked our sending IP address and found that the address, 173.68.xxx.xxx (can I wrhite it here? I'm not sure), is 'blacklisted'. This address belongs to Verizon, not our domail server. How can you solve the problem?

cannot connect to p2p service

i have the router set to minimum so that traffic should pass, but it will not connect.

I am getting this in the firewall log.  nothing should be blocked in.  can someone help decifer the logs and tell me what is wrong?  Thanks.

Can’t download movies

I’m in Vegas, hotel room, a long-time verizon customer (FIOS). I’m trying to download movie to my iPad. I get to 99% download and keep encountering error Content Management FM0066. What is that and why am I getting it? I thought the big selling point of FIOS is being able to download content to any device, at anytime.

Has anyone actually RECEIVED the gift card that was promised during FIOS promotions for Summer of 2017? If so, can you please tell me how to get the one promised me? Three hours of internet/phone conversations passed, no resolution. #SickandtiredofVerizonBS

Never received full service since July 2016 and charged me for a service call I never had!

I switched to Verizon FIOS because it was "the fastest Internet available" in July of 2016. With the exception of 1 day when the technician installed it and used his iPad to do something to boost the signal, I have never gotten the full 100/100 Mbps I pay $80.73 a month for. I called and reported the issued AGAIN like I have each month 2 weeks ago. Apparently they sent a technician to my house without setting up an appointment with me AND charged me an extra $50 for a service call I never received. This is the worst choice I have made since buying my home. They have only ever refunded or credited my account 2 times, I have had over 5 service calls where I had actual humans in  my home, and spent well over 10 hours on the phone (mostly on hold or being transferred) trying to get what I pay for. I refuse to pay $50 for a service call I did not request or receive nor will I pay my $80.73 for this month as I couldn't even get 100/100 Mbps to work 1 DirecTV box and 1 cellphone.  When I call I am on hold or I use the callback option and they hang up on me over the past 2 weeks so I can dispute charges. If this is not corrected and I do not start receiving 100/100 Mbps I am requesting any payments back and restitution for my lost time and absence of Internet so I can do work or personal activities.  Does anyone else have these same problems? If so I plan on going back to Comcast XFinity. This is uncalled for in a huge residential area close to a large city. 

Router Blocking Websites

Hi Everyone,

 

Today I had a big problem with my router blocking the Bank of America website. No matter what I did, it just didn't open the webpage. Every other website would work. So after calling for an hour I finally figured out what was blocking my access to Bank of America.

 

When your unable to access a particular website on your home network. And you are able to access it on your celluar network. YOUR VPN SETTINGS ARE BLOCKING IT. 

 

My own internet securty on my desktop was blocking the webpage of Bank of America. This has to do with the VPN settings. (know for hiding IP adresses.)

 

Somehow my internet security had premmission to have control on my network. EVEN THE WIFI ON MY PHONE. 

 

*You are able to delete the vpn settings so you can access the webpage.

 

If you need any help just anwser here and I'm more than happy to assist you. I will save a few hours calling on the phone!

early termination fee credit

Hi There,

I was not under contract but still got early termination fee credit email. Also, I moved to a country where there is no Verizon services.

 

Chat is always busy or offline. Facebook page also did not help. Could not find the email for support too. I am in totally different timezone so it's very difficult and costly to call the customer care.

 

Can somebody please help?

Fios Wifi Extender Ethernet Port Issues

I am using the fios wifi extender ethernet port to connect my xbox one to the internet, the connection keeps dropping.  My PC is also connected to the other ethernet port on the extender and keeps a fast continous connection with zero drops.  I need to restart the extender once a day to get the xbox one reconnected via wired.  Is anyone else having an issue or know how to fix this?

I just had someone in Verizon chat tell me it is NOT possible to turn off the wi-fi on a G1100 router while continuing to use its Ethernet ports for Internet access. (I have two desktop computers wired to it.)

 

From what I see in my settings and elsewhere, it looks like he was wrong. But I'm a little nervous about clicking the wi-fi off in my settings. Can anyone confirm?

My FIOS internet speed problem solved

A recurring and frustrating issue that keeps popping up on the board is the matter of internet speeds much slower than contracted for. I have had this problem for well over a year, and have gone through customer service to no avail, and consulted several gurus. All of this to no avail until recently. As with so many computer purchases mine came with a year of free McAfee loaded on. After the year I uninstalled McAfee and purchased another security package. However, when I installed Windows 10 my upload speed suddenly went way down, below 1. A few weeks ago I discovered a piece of McAfee still on the computer. After removing it the upload speed returned to normal. However, today I discovered my speed was down to below 1 again. I could not find pieces of McAfee remaining. I went to the McAfee site and found a tool called MCPR for unistalling McAfee. I ran this and my speeds returned to normal. My guess is that the pieces I formerly uninstalled reinstalled themselves, as some programs can do. Let's see if my speed stays up. I will continue to post. If anyone else has luck with this procedure, I would be interested in knowing.

Connect second quantum gateway

We recently moved into a house and ordered 50/50 Fios and received a G1100 quantum gateway router.  We discovered in the basement another G1100 already hooked up and transmitting wifi.  There are two coaxial cables coming up from the basement into the first floor of the house.  I assume one of these cables is for television, and one is for the internet.   We can connect to the internet via the basement g1100,  however the signal is poor in some parts of the house.   When we connect the g1100 we received from Verizon to the internet coaxial cable on the first floor, we are unable to connect to internet.  The globe icon on the front of the g1100 is solid red instead of white.

 

What steps do we have to take to set up the g1100 we received from Verizon so that it will connect to the internet ?

 

 

Payment Dates Keep Changing

So I got Fios installed on October 23rd this year. I automatically assumed the 23rd would be when I pay. So the bill comes and it's due on November 16th. Almost a week earlier than I planned.

 

I then enrolled in auto pay for the 18th of each month as that was the best I could get. Guess what? I'm billed on the 14th of December.

 

What exactly is going on here please? At this rate I'm going to be double paying.
